So I’ve been off of said Blog (really not much of a blog but a tumblr none the less) for a while. Last year went out with a bang/hazy mind set/lot’s of stress/eye opening events and revelations… And now it’s a new year and I feel like it’s off to a good start.
I made a few decisions about who/where I want to be in this upcoming year and for the duration of my time on this rock of a spaceship we call Earth and for the most part all are advancing well. After a slew of minor injuries and health problems (mental and physical) I decided to make some changes. More moderation and less excess basically. I need to take better care of myself than I had been. So less unhealthy food, more exercise and less substance intake (whiskey I love you, but we needed a break).
So here are the updates so far:
1) Since the beginning of the year I haven’t eaten any meat (this is temporary, but I felt something drastic was in order to get my mind and body right).
2) Since the beginning of the year I haven’t drank any alcohol (except for one night, which was planned as I was going to a show that I had been excited about for a month or two).
3) I haven’t had a soda yet this year (those things are horrible and are gone forever).
4) I’ve been exercising a bit more regularly, working towards a regiment that will create results without burning me out.
And after putting these things into effect, I feel better across the board (mind, body and soul) and have lost 12 lbs. I’m liking where this is going and am trying my best to make this a permanent change since after re-introducing the meat and booze, I plan on keeping them in their little moderate box. So yeah, that’s where I’ve been and where I’m going.
Once this regiment is commonplace and I don’t have to devote energy into keeping it there, the next challenge will begin. Next up, quitting the cancer sticks. I’ll let you know when this one happens. It’s going to be a while, but yeah. And that’s that!
